There are those in the music business in Canada that have suggested some kind of government control be placed on the import of foreign — notably American — record prod- uct, in order that Canadian singers and musicians may establish themselves in their own country.
It seems to me that if Canadian record product of equal calibre to American imports is available it will sell. This has been proven time and time again, but it must be developed. If more of the leading companies in the recording business in Canada would gamble a little on Canadian talent to the degree that they would assume the cost of first class recording sessions — in the U.

Most of them are composed by Mexicans and besides the trio, Eydie is backed by a rhythm section. About the Spanish language, we are not worried because Eydie speaks it fluently.
